THE MOLLY P

Chantel Tshepang Lobalami Memela, better-known as TheMollyP, was born here in South Africa but later on moved to Botswana and came back again In 2011. Molly has mixed up personalities mainly extroverted and down to earth, but like everyone else is on her journey to finding her real self. She's a fun person to hang around as she cherishes the simple things in life.

Molly was initially reluctant to fashion modeling due to lack of confidence, but as time went and more people encouraged her to she decided to try it out and it became a passion and she has since gained confidence. This led to many other doors opening such as a growing social media presence. "I don’t like the word 'influencer' because it’s so overrated and misused, but I do have influence here and there even though it’s not always good influence" she says. She believes that her social media grew mainly because of her content as well as her friends and renowned Hip Hop heavyweight Riky Rick playing a role too.

Her biggest inspiration is Rihanna as she admires her bad girl attitude towards life. Other renowned models such as Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner along with Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss have played a huge role in her life. Molly is also a huge fan of Playboicarti, and besides his music she has also imprinted tatoos on her body similar to his. She is also inspired by her friends and the energy that they circulate as they empower each other

Her modelling has led her to work with various brands such as Fila, Wanda Le Photo, Rage in The City, Maybelline, Anthony l Biller and Sneaker Exchange recently. She has also appeared in music videos and has worked with Riky Rick for Cotton Fest/Club and was on the line up too as well as a few other campaigns and her friends Katlego, Tlotlang, Thembelihle, Khanyi, Matlatsi, Cameron, Uncle Vinny, Reneilloe, Lerai and Tshego. Molly plans on working with visual artists Art Villian, Grimmshots, 1BoyWanda and Alain Takeover as she admires their work and art.

Molly believes that clothes and fashion is everything. They define you and can give you a large deal of confidence, as your appearance speaks before you do. Molly feels that South Africa's modeling industry isn’t currently where it should be compared to overseas, as it's more focused on who has 'clout' and who you know which leads to girls who are actually talented being slept which she feels is unfair. "I just want everyone to win and get what they deserve for their hard work because trust me not everyone can model, it really isn’t for everyone, but hopefully the industry will realize it soon".

The only major difficulties she faces is being told what to do and what not to post as she's also a nudist. "I guess it comes with my confidence. Most brands look at that and don’t want to work with me as they want a role model. I just wanna do me and I feel like everyone should be given a fair chance despite the type of modelling they're involved in, as long as it doesn't offend anyone and it's art" says Molly.

Her advice to young females is to "Keep doing you. Someone’s always watching and they’ll want to work with you regardless. We all get our turn because the world is forever turning. Don’t lose hope no matter what, keep your head up, your time's coming. It won’t come overnight, just don’t harm others or make a bad name for yourself instead leave a mark so when you leave earth you die LIT."

Molly says she wants to make the world a better place by opening her own Care Center to help the needy people with what she can. She realized this as she always gives out to the homeless and would like people to stop looking down on each other you as she believes in Karma. "I just want love and peace is that too much to ask for? You get people hating on you cause you pretty." Besides that, she wants to be a supermodel like Naomi Campbell. Molly continues with her journey as we await her moves in 2020
