Having flown onto the social media influencer scene, Tshegofatso Mbalenhle Mafubedu, better-known as Tshego.m has made a huge impact on the youth industry. Having grown up in an environment influenced by media, her father being involved in the entertainment spectrum and mother having a journalist background, Tshego was destined to somehow follow their paths. Her social media influence began last year, boosted by her extrovert and outgoing personality and her will to make a difference.
She then went on to partner with a few brands. As her influence grew, she saw this as a chance to earn extra cash and started working with more brands which include Sneakers Headsurf which she's now a major part of. From a young age Tshego had always seen herself as a star and someone who'd be well known. She then started becoming a brand ambassador, striking a deal with renowned eyebrow company Brow Architect, which is one of the biggest in South Africa. She has also been nominated to model for Khosi Nkosi, one of the most elegant clothing line and designers of traditional dresses in South Africa, at AFI South Africa next week which is a huge accomplishment as a young model and she believes that it's just the beginning.
As any other influencer, Tshego also faces a stream of difficulties throughout her journey. One being that of her relationship with Junior Khathi, well known as Tank The Rockstar. Many people believe that the relationship was fueled by personal benefits and gains. "A lot of people have been saying that Junior only went after me because of the fame and I'm only after him because he's Dj Tira's son and because of the clout and standards, which is not the case". Tshego believes that the industry is not for the faint-hearted saying that everyone is always going to have something to say and one just has to keep their head up and avoid the negativity as it'll affect you and your personal life if you don't.
This is also her main advice to young females looking to prosper in the influencing & entertainment spectrum adding that as soon as you start taking into account what others say, it'll affect your progress and you'll start doing things according to people's expectations and not yours. Tshego prioritizes herself and her brand which helps her hold up a certain standard and helps her move forward.
Her aim now is to create a brand with her boyfriend, Junior Khathi which will have a huge impact in the industry as she believes they both have potential to do bigger things.
